Strandhaus Ammersee in Eching

Nice sun terrace with a wonderful view of the Ammersee. Due to Covid-19, however, it is nonsensically closed on Sundays.

Currently closed. In summer this is a popular start and destination for small hikes on the Ammersee.

The service is a bit bumpy. Quality of the food is okay, but nothing more. I think every time I'm there. You could actually make more of it, because the location is so beautiful. What a shame.

Do you have to say more about this photo? This is roughly the view you have from the beach house. Nice little beach café with a kiosk and a small lounge. Cozy, honest and chilled out. If you bring your boccia or boules balls with you, you can push a quiet ball in front of the house. And I think in winter it's just the ice stock. A small drawback in summer: the mosquitoes, but they are everywhere on the lake.

Closed in November, of course, but accessible. In the sunshine you can sit relaxed on the jetty

Nice restaurant by the lake, with a small but fine menu. The burgers are superb. In terms of price a little more than in a normal excursion restaurant, but you also get very good service, a smart team, delicious food and a great view. The only drawback are the many foreigners who clog the beach all day. Otherwise wonderful for us locals, a place to enjoy and look forward to living at the Ammersee. The owners are super friendly and stand behind the counter themselves and are mostly in a good mood, which they pass on to their guests.

Good restaurant with a great view of the lake from the beer garden, simple and plain inside. Eat consistently good cuisine, especially grill pfanderl with 3 pieces of meat.

Very nice place to have a bite to eat and drink. Beach chairs and a large lawn on the sandy beach. Also kiosk, toilet and the boat place next door.

The food was good and very quick, the location on a free stretch of lake is very nice. The concept is confusing ... big beach kiosk ... or restaurant ... kind of both a bit. Self-service when ordering, but then restaurant service when the food is brought to the table ... The furniture is good, but everything from the beer garden to the restaurant to lounge furniture is represented, you can say there is something for every taste. It's a shame, only cash payments are possible ...

Fantastic, a bit hidden beach house with a very nice view and incredibly nice hosts. The menu invites you to simple but also a little more luxurious dishes. €€ You pay a little more (area), but it also has a great atmosphere. Almost 200m from the kiosk / restaurant / café is the beautiful Ammersee. For a really very, very fair price, you can rent SUPs there at an hourly rate and, on reservation, even a tandem kayak- genial! * Holiday mood * Among other things, the surf school has a wide range - just google it;)

This is how you imagine the end of a beautiful summer day at the lake! It was my first time at the beach house and was pleasantly surprised. The outdoor area is spacious and friendly. There is also a playground for children. Young & very friendly team. The food was delicious and the short waiting time for the food was made sweeter with a beautiful view of the Ammersee! I will definitely come back more often this year ... Thanks again to the team!

Open when the weather is nice. Then why is there no food 15 minutes before closing?

Regardless of the food and the gastronomic prices, the service is underground for the following reason: 7:45 p.m., the beach house is well attended. According to the website, food is served until 8:30 p.m. The women's toilets are locked and must not be used as they have already been cleaned. This would always be done here. I am addressed with a pampy tone that I can go to the men's toilet in the same way. This would not be a problem with individual toilets, but it would be in such an open-air toilet. Something else is expected in terms of prices.

Nice and not too busy bar/ self-service right at the lake. Prices are normal for the location. Only minus, because you have to spend at elast 10€ to be able to pay with card.

Very nice location, and great food. A bit on the pricey side for what's essentially a lakeside Kiosk, but admittedly the food is just about good enough to warrant it. I would give 5 stars for about 10% cheaper.

Excellent food, self service but opening times somewhat random: they can be closed at 7pm on a Saturday if trade slackens off...and you can't make reservations for less than 8 people.
